We continue to welcome new artists into the fold with a 12” from fresh signees Tim Sweeney and Lauer operating under T&P. Number 10 in our release catalogue comes as a single titled ‘Hail Falls’.

Having introduced their collaboration through a self released record on Sweeney’s own Beats In Space back in 2016 – T&P continue to develop this fruitful relationship and roll out more Disco-tinged Acid.

Monkeytown and Black Acre affiliates Dark Sky then expand on their catalogue with a remix here that sees the original’s rich melodies spread over intricate, skipping rhythms.

FMB MIXTAPE 76 | GAV MILLER

Gav Miller steps up for number 76 in our podcast series. Make sure to catch this Scotsman spinning if you haven’t done so already. As always we caught up with him to find whats been happening…

“I played at Groove Festival which is in the Highlands in Scotland on the slopes of the Cairngorms!! Also popped my cherry at The Tunnels in Aberdeen, that place is amazing. Played alongside Joy-O at my favourite club in Edinburgh, Sneaky Pete’s a few weeks ago, he still is one of the best acts i’ve seen in such a small venue!!

The mix was recorded on CDJs and pioneer mixer at my own party I run with one of my best mates in Edinburgh called The Syndicate at the cities premium music bar, 99 Hanover Street.

What I tried to do was curate a mix that showcased the music I’m really into at the minute combining with some house grooves, afro sounds and deep melodic tracks.”

Up next…

“I’m quite lucky to be involved with some great parties coming up, I’m playing at Fly Open Air this month (May 20th) alongside the likes of Bicep, Hunee, Midland, Denis Sulta and Artwork just to name a few. We’ve got a cool festival just outside Dundee coming up that I’m playing at called Carnival Fifty Six, the line up hasn’t been announced yet so we’re all pretty excited for it. Since DJing is a full time job for me here in Edinburgh I think me and few mates are going to take a couple weeks off and head back to Sonar again this year, then take the second week to recover.”

FMB MIXTAPE 75 | SWOOSE & CROMBY

More N.Irish talent this time from Swoose and Cromby. They regularly play out across Belfast, London and had a smasher of a set at Berlin’s Panorama Bar. We look forward to hearing them spin at AVA festival again this year on home turf and as always we hit them up to see what they had been up to:
“Swoose: I’ve been getting the head down in the studio as well as gigging around London. Got some good material down, just need to get it mastered and out to labels. We just recently got taken on @ orchid am artists too which is exciting

Cromby: I’ve just recently got keys to a new studio in Berlin and been working on new material also. We are planning to record some stuff together soon, just trying to fit it around our working schedules.

We both setup a hidden group on FB where we swapped records each day and whittled them down to an hours worth.

Since we only had an hour we wanted to make something that you can enjoy during the day, before going on a night out and at an afters (mainly �� )”

“Swoose: I’ve got my residencies each month in London as well as gigs @ the nest with Lovebirds & Pional.

Cromby: Instore at OYE records on the 27/04 and Chalet, Berlin on the 01/05 . New EP coming out in the summer too to keep an eye out for. We are both performing together next at AVA festival in Belfast”

FMB MIXTAPE 74 | KRYWALD AND FARRER

Krywald and Farrer really know how to bring the party having been Percolate residents from the off. We look forward to seeing their star rise as they move into the production and edits world. As always we caught up with them to see whats been going on.

“Working hard on new music, a remix for Afriquoi due out on Record Store Day and featured in the mix, an EP due out soon on W&O Street Tracks a few other ones too early to tell and super excited about Persies 004 which we are due to finish this week.

Krywald has just moved into a new pad up in Clapton and we’ve just got the new set up sorted which is looking naughty. It was the first one we’ve put together in there.

All things Bicep we didn’t want to hold back with this one so went fully in on the party from start to finish.”

Up next…

“We have a few bits to finish in the studio, some really exciting ones, one project is a bit different from our usual output so happy to get that out. We have a busy festival schedule approaching launching with Gottwood, Percolate gigs too with Queen’s Yard Party and the Liverpool launch approaching and Persies 004 out real soon. We will also shortly be annoucing dates for the small re-press of 001 and 002.”

FMB MIXTAPE 73 | IN FLAGRANTI

This week we have the great In Flagranti delivering the FMB podcast. Their upcoming mixtape album ‘Sprezzatura’ is coming out on 14th April on Codek. We have caught up with them to hear more about the mix, what they’ve been up to and future plans:

“Sasa: We have just released a new 12” ep featuring Schaltkreis Wassermann with lost and found recordings from 1980, PJ Wassermann on LSD twiddling with an Arp 2600 and recording direct to reel to reel tape with remixes by Toby Tobias and Vahagn. At the same time working the PR for our 4rth Album Sprezzatura which will be released on April 14th

Sasa: Since we both live in different countries, Alex in Basel and I bouncing between Paris and London it was difficult to do a mix together and we usually don’t play back to back as we have a different style of djing.

Alex had this half hour mix he’s done a while back with some of his edits and then I did the intro and outro of the mix, basically edited into his mix. The Idea was, how do we show our individuality in to a one hour mix that would reflect our style of djing. I play more new music where Alex is the crate digger and always brings out some old stuff I haven’t heard of.. that’s the In Flagranti blend.”

Up next..

“Sasa: Apologies that it’s just me talking here but Alex is on holidays at the moment and taking care of merchandise manufacturing.. once the Album Sprezzatura is released we got another ep lined up for a beginning of summer release called Camelwalk which will feature Italian dj/producer/musician DJ Rocca playing flute on a In Flagranti track with remixes by Mexican producer Inigo Vontier and Spain’s Rayko pluse bonus beat on vinyl and digital.”
